Writer’s Extravaganza in St. George

For the novice writer to the most experience penman, the Heritage Writer’s Guild of St. George will be hosting the largest writer’s conference in the tri-state region October 12th – 13th at the Lexington Hotel in St. George, Utah. An unprecedented writing conference, the HWG Fall Conference is a low-cost event designed to motivate, educate, and help guide writers of all abilities towards publishing success! High school students are invited to get involved and are offered the conference at half price!

With a dozen speakers discussing and sharing writing insights and experience, the conference will feature 18 different topical writing lectures and workshops covering everything from character and dialogue development, agent and publishing information, marketing and promotion, fiction and nonfiction writing, editing, memoir writing, short story writing, and a host of other writing and publishing concepts.

In addition, the Fall Writer’s Conference will host two brand new and unique events: A FREE introduction to writing and publishing for the general public each night of the event that will be a comprehensive introduction to the process and business of writing. This one-hour community writing workshop and lecture will take place at 6:30pm on Friday, Oct. 12th and again at 5pm on Saturday, Oct. 13th. New authors and writers will have the opportunity to ask questions and get insights from dozens of published authors in attendance. Community members may come to one or both of these informative lectures. No RSVP is necessary. But, please, mark your calendar as these will be extraordinarily informative for anyone wanting to learn about writing and publishing!

The second event is the first annual HWG Authorpalooza! Following each of the free community writing programs, our community will be able to meet authors and get autographed copies of their books as well as ask questions about their writing and publishing experience.
